UMP DIRTcar Racing Restores Sanction to Kankakee County Speedway

Kankakee County SpeedwayConcord, N.C. — July 22, 2009 — UMP DIRTcar Racing announced today it is restoring the DIRTcar sanction to Kankakee County Speedway, a quarter-mile dirt track in central Illinois that was recently re-opened by promoter Tom Smith.

All points earned during the recent UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals race, and all points earned in prior UMP DIRTcar events this season at Kankakee County Speedway are being honored by UMP DIRTcar Racing

The new Kankakee County Speedway will race on Friday nights with UMP DIRTcar Late Models, UMP DIRTcar Modifieds and UMP DIRTcar Street Stocks, as well as I-Mods and various other classes on occasion.

“We’re very happy to have Kankakee County Speedway back as a UMP DIRTcar sanctioned facility,” said UMP DIRTcar Racing Director Sam Driggers. “Fans and drivers alike will have yet another great facility to compete at on a weekly basis while being able to take advantage of many of the great benefits that come with the UMP DIRTcar sanction.”
